Afriquoi play their first Glasgow show at the QMU on Saturday 12th May. We Should Hang Out More was founded on the ethos of maintaining a diverse and eclectic booking policy. For their May outing, they are presenting the six-piece live African dance music group.

Fusing Congolese guitar, Gambian kora virtuosity and Mandinka percussion styles with UK electronic sensibilities Afriquoi create a captivating, beautiful, dancefloor-friendly vibe. Expect an uplifting fusion of African music and live electronica ranging from Afrohouse to Afrobeat, HipHop and Soca.

After releasing one of 2015’s biggest summer club anthems, Kudaushe, Afriquoi have been all over the UK and Europe’s festival scene, including Glastonbury, Boomtown and Lovebox.

Warm up and close down on the night will be provided by Shahaa Tops and Peter Panther. Tickets for this fun club night are available here.
