Barbarossa restaurant in the Southside will officially launch their off-licence wine cellar with the first in a series of wine tasting evenings, Grape Escapes, on Wednesday 30th May. The first event will feature a selection of wines from Puglia, known for their full-bodied reds and the famous Primitivo grape that is recognised globally.
Learn more about wine will with a glass of prosecco followed by the opportunity to taste six wines from across the region alongside a selection of small plates and antipasto typical to Puglia. An expert from Liberty wines will be taking guests on a journey of wine with the opportunity to buy and take home their favourites on the night.
Enzo, the owner of Barbarossa Restaurant, has been collecting and enjoying wine for over 40 years, a passion that blossomed from his time working in five-star hotel restaurants in Jersey and Switzerland when his career in hospitality started.

Barbarossa Restaurant first opened the doors in 2001 when proprietors Enzo and Elizabeth Longo turned their passion for food and wine into a fine dining restaurant with an extensive wine selection and a contemporary Italian-Scottish kitchen.
