BRGR will open restaurant in Glasgow city centre

The latest update from the ongoing ebb and flow of Glasgow’s burger restaurants and chains. BRGR will open in the city centre in the next few weeks. The news comes after they announced they would close their Clarkston branch “indefinitely” due to an ongoing maintenance issue with the car park above the restaurant. Elsewhere, the Great Western Road branch is currently closed for a couple of weeks for repairs. The popular burger joint continues to be open in Giffnock and Edinburgh.

An announcement on Facebook said: “BRGR is coming to Glasgow city centre. Opening in early 2018, our new joint is slap bang in the middle of town.”

Currently, the location has not been confirmed. There’s been some speculation that BRGR may take over the location recently vacated by Byron Burger on West George Street but this is unlikely. There have been some suggestions the new restaurant may be on Royal Exchange Square.

In other news, burger pop-up El Perro Negro continue to make preparations for their new permanent restaurant opening in Finnieston.
