Competition is fierce between the independent and chain burger restaurants in the city centre, particularly those clustered along St Vincent Street. Yesterday, one brand of burger slingers dropped out of contention as Byron Burger closed its Glasgow branch 18 months after opening.
The closure of the restaurant yesterday was confirmed in a statement and by email to customers. Nearby restaurants include Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Five Guys, Bread Meats Bread, Smoak BBQ and Hard Rock Cafe.
The Glasgow branch was Byron’s first restaurant in Scotland. The chain has two more branches in Edinburgh.
