Cameron House unveils winter and Hogmanay line-up

Cameron House Christmas lights

Cameron House has unveiled its line-up for the festive months, from the start of December through to Hogmanay. Set on the banks of Loch Lomond, the five-star resort has a full roster of events planned. “Whether guests are coming along for a festive tipple, shopping at our Christmas market, or indulging in a Christmas escape, we’re looking forward to welcoming them all to Cameron House this year.” Resort Director, Andy Roger, told Glasgowist: “We can’t wait to deck the halls, light the fires and await a visit from a very special guest. The festive season is such a special time of year for so many people and we certainly have the wow factor to match.”

Cameron House will bring the delights of a traditional market to Loch Lomond from 15-17 December, 11am-4pm. Shoppers are invited to keep warm with a hot cocoa or mulled wine and browse the stalls selling a variety of handmade goods including jewellery, art, homeware and clothing. Food and drink stalls will also help keep Christmas shoppers fuelled throughout the day.

The traditional Cameron House afternoon tea has been given a Christmas twist with roast turkey sandwiches, sage and chestnut sausage rolls, plus a new festive cake stand. Guests can top this off with a glass of champagne or mulled wine to round off this very special occasion. Prices start from £35 per person.

Celebrate the festive season in style with friends at Cameron House’s Christmas party nights, or indulge in a private Christmas lunch with loved ones to get you into the spirit. Available Thursday – Saturday throughout December, prices start from £35 per person.

Real reindeer will be making a very special pit-stop at Cameron House to visit little guests on Christmas Eve. It’s the busiest night of the year for Santa Clause, but Mrs Claus will be here to tell the much-loved tale of ‘The Night before Christmas’.

Featuring the magic of the Fairy Godmother, the sparkle of glass slippers, the beautiful Cinderella and of course, the ugly sisters; Cameron House’s panto brings beautiful sets and costumes, enchanting music and lots of laughter to Christmas and New Year’s Day.

After breakfast and opening gifts, families staying at Cameron House can enjoy festive movies, take a walk around the grounds to a Wizard of Oz themed theatrical walk, or curl up by a roaring fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Guests are then welcomed to ‘Host the Roast’ in the Cameron Grill, a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings that allows mums and dads to carve the turkey, making this out of home Christmas experience feel extra personal. Whatever way you decide to celebrate, Cameron House has Christmas Day all wrapped up.

During Boxing Day, families can join a treasure hunt around the Loch and watch the birds of prey demonstrations. In the evening, there are ceilidh dancing lessons followed by the ‘Gathering of the Clans’ ceilidh for guests to take part in.

After being welcomed to the resort by a piper and a glass of Champagne on Hogmanay, guests can take part in dance lessons and a whisky tasting before attending their event of choice for the evening:

· ‘Gathering of the Clans’ formal ceilidh
· ‘Hogmanay Hoolie’ family gathering in The Boat House
· Intimate dinner in The Cameron Grill

For the midnight celebrations, all guests will be invited to follow the piper to watch the fireworks display from the lawn and enjoy the traditional sounds of the pipe band, to welcome in 2018.

For those looking to treat friends and family to a slice of luxury, monetary gift cards, afternoon tea or spa day vouchers are available here.
