It is last orders for a landmark pub on the southside. Church on the Hill closes this weekend. A popular choice during summer months and a rallying point for football fans or gig-goers heading to Hampden, the venue is to close after ten years as part of the local community.
A closing party has been announced for this Saturday, 3rd February.
An announcement from the owners said: “Saturday marks the end of an era for Church on the Hill! The business will change hands on Monday and close for refurbishment.
“We will be having our last full scale Church party on Saturday night, open till 1am! I’d like to thank all the loyal customers and staff that have made this the best pub in the south side for the last 10 years!
“Vinnie and I put our hearts and souls into this place and I will miss it deeply. Come down on Saturday and I’ll buy you a drink! Sean.
“P.S The White Elephant is the new place to be!!”
It is expected that the venue will reopen under new management after a refit.
