Countdown to TRNSMT Festival this weekend at Glasgow Green

Glasgow’s newest festival, TRNSMT, is just two days away, and with five stages, 109 acts and an estimated 100,000 fans set to head to Glasgow Green over the weekend, anticipation is building.

Fans can look forward to sets from international superstars Radiohead who will play a sensational two and a half hour set, plus hometown heroes Belle and Sebastian’s biggest ever Scottish show, festival favourites Kasabian, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Biffy Clyro, The 1975, Stormzy and other top acts.

Catfish and the Bottlemen front man, Van McCann, spoke about his excitement for the up-coming show yesterday saying, “Glasgow is a special place, we can’t wait to play TRNSMT this weekend.”

“There’s a new roadie in town.” Tonight, TRNSMT have revealed the story of Glasgow 2014’s favourite mascot Clyde, who is back at Glasgow Green lending a hand before the festival. The Commonwealth Games mascot was a big hit with fans in 2014 and finally has another big event to look forward to.

Festival organisers have confirmed stage times for all artists. A handy timetable tool in the TRNSMT app allows fans to select the acts they want to see and they will be sent reminders before the set begins.

Fans with VIP tickets can look forward to a pop up venue, Rusty’s Piano Bar, featuring live performances from the likes of Carly Connor, Calum Frame, The Imagineers, The Bar Dogs and more.

The Utilita Power Tree will not only give fans the chance to recharge their phone, they can also enjoy sweet DJ sets from the likes of Pretty Ugly, Stray Cats and Detour Scotland.
