Malmasion Glasgow will be offering a taste of Tuscany with a three course lunch paired with wines from the outstanding Italian wine maker Castello Banfi. The event will be an opportunity to visit the new Chez Mal restaurant in the fashionable boutique hotel.
The open subterranean dining room sits alongside the buzzy cocktail bar at the heart of the stylish converted Greek Orthodox church building. Chez Mal’s Head Chef John Burns’ normal a la carte menu is European with an Asian twist, but on Saturday 26th August he will turn his hand to Italian flavours to compliment the wine selection.
Banfi was founded in 1978 by Italian-American brothers, John and Harry Mariani. From the beginning, they set out to create a state-of-the-art winery and have brought new techniques and expertise to wine-making in the region. They also purchased Bruzzone, a historic winery in Piedmont, which specialises in the production of sparkling wines.
Tickets cost £49.50 and can be booked here.
