The former George Hotel at the top of Buchanan Street has two new tenants. New Look have moved into the ground floor, while German-owned dining chain Vapiano has opened their second Scottish restaurant on the first floor. Vapiano’s menu is dominated by traditional Italian dishes, including pizzas, pastas, antipasti and salads, all prepared in an open kitchen.
Phil Sermon, managing director at Vapiano, said Glasgow’s “vibrant, social scene provides the perfect backdrop for Vapiano and we’re thrilled to have finally opened those doors.
“Vapiano’s great central location on Buchanan Street in a building with such a deep history is ideal for post-work and weekend entertaining, even a quick lunch.
“We know Glaswegians like to have a good time with friends, so we’re looking forward to welcome Glaswegians into the restaurant.”
