Gerry Cinnamon is determined to have a big conclusion to a breakthrough year. The Castlemilk singer has announced three new tour dates for December to add to a clutch of Scottish gigs that sold out in seconds.
The new dates are:
Thursday 13th December 2018 Caird Hall, Dundee
Tuesday 18th December 2018 Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen
Wednesday 19th December 2018 Grand Hall, Kilmarnock
Tickets are on sale Friday at 9am.
Gerry is currently working on new material in the studio after a whirlwind summer of headline shows across the UK and Ireland, alongide festival appearances, including a memorable set at TRNSMT in the Glasgow sunshine.
Before that gig, promoter Geoff Ellis speculated to Glasgowist that it was only a matter of time before Gerry Cinnamon plays The Hydro and last month Gerry was announced as the support act for The Courteeners on 24th November at SSE Hyrdo.
After that, there’s a series of hometown shows in December.
Gerry said: ‘I’m buzzing to be playing in Glasgow again. My last stint was absolute mayhem. Expect nothing less from these gigs.”
“I knew some folk would dig it but I never expected it to explode like this. Pretty humbling to be honest.
“I’m a writer first and a musician second so it’s cool to be recognised for the writing and not just the live shows. As long as folk dig the tunes that’s all that matters. Can’t wait to get the next one out sharpish.”
Gerry will play sold out shows at the O2 Academy on Friday and Saturday, December 14 and 15 and the Barrowlands on Sunday and Monday, December 23 and 24.
