Dear Green Coffee Roasters bring Glasgow Coffee Festival back to The Briggait for a fourth time on Saturday 19 May and Sunday 20 May 2018. The event includes tastings, presentations, equipment, competitions, beans, brews and latte art throwdowns and they are expecting tickets to sell out in the coming days.
Due to popularity the festival expanded to a two day format last year. The 2018 event is again meeting demand by accommodating even more coffee lovers and will be spread over more space in The Briggait.
This years big news is that all disposable cups have been banned, and only reusable cups will be available at the festival. This has been achievable by support from sponsors KeepCup, La Marzocco and Mercanta. The idea is to encourage consumers to change their habits to help combat the 2.5 billion cups that go to landfill in the UK every year.
Furthermore all coffee grounds generated at the festival will be recycled as compost by local entrepreneurs Revive Eco and distributed afterwards ensuring a circular economy aspect to the festival.
Glasgow Coffee Festival hosts exhibitors from across Scotland and the UK. With just 10 days to go before the event, we’re delighted to announce the full line up for this year’s festival. The line up ranges from well established coffee companies to brand new, start up businesses.

Dear Green Coffee Roasters are the organisers of the event. Lisa Lawson, founder of Dear Green says, “this year tickets have sold quicker than ever before. We’ve been overwhelmed by the success of the festival and how much everyone loves coming together to support this community of local coffee talent. We’ve sold out every year so far and are looking forward to doing the same again. Definitely grab your tickets soon if you haven’t already!’
All profits from the event will go to charities World Coffee Research and Glasgow City Mission.
