Things we found out today: Kiefer Sutherland has recorded a country music album and he wants to play it on stage in Finnieston. Now, we’ve had our share of quirky international celebrity mash-ups over the years in Glasgow (Brad Pitt on a night out in The Tunnel, Neve Campbell staying with relatives in Castlemilk) but this is an unexpected and intriguing development.
The 24, Stand By Me and The Lost Boys actor recorded his debut album Down in a Hole last year, produced by his longtime friend Jude Cole from the label Ironworks, which Sutherland co-owns.
He has toured North America with his band and is now embarking on a series of dates across the UK and Europe.
SWG3 continues to have a great year, carving out its own important place in the Glasgow music scene. Jack Bauer himself will grace the stage at the venue on 27th June.
