There were queues round the block when Krispy Kreme opened their first doughnut store in Glasgow. Now the American chain is set to fuel our sugar frenzy further with the announcement that two new outlets will open in the city. The latest expansion will bring Krispy Kreme’s signature flavours to Buchanan Galleries and Silverburn.
Buchanan Galleries will gain a sit down store while Silverburn will have a Krispy Kreme take away counter.
The doughnuts for each store will be delivered fresh every morning from the Hotlight branch at Intu Braehead, which opened in December last year and is Krispy Kreme’s largest outlet in the UK.
Judith Denby, Chief Marketing Officer at Krispy Kreme, said: “We are hugely excited to be expanding in Scotland, due to the fantastic reaction we have received at our stores in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee.
“We can’t wait to welcome shoppers in for fresh doughnuts and drinks at Buchanan Galleries and Silverburn and look forward to meeting more of our Glaswegian fans.”
