After building a career courting controversy and aiming for the dark periphery of pop culture, Primal Scream find themselves in a curious position. They have somehow crossed into elder statesmen territory, becoming a regular high ranking feature on festival line-ups and accepted into the mainstream.
We’re confident Bobby Gillespie still has a lingering subversive streak, which should be to the fore when the band (now dubbed ‘rock veterans’, when did that happen?) return to Glasgow next month for a gig at ABC on 30th March.
Their new album Chaosmosis – the group’s eleventh studio album – will be released on 18th March. This is the follow up to their last record, More Light, released in 2013.
