The owners of The Raven, Smokin’ Fox and The Spiritualist will take over Church on the Hill on the Southside. The re-launch date is set for April 2018. The team behind the project have spent £650,000 on an extensive refurbishment to breathe new life into the venue, with a reinvigorated approach to food, drink and entertainment.
We told you in January about the closure of the landmark bar after ten years as part of the community.
Shaun Donnellan, Area Manager, said: “Glasgow’s Southside is an area so full of pride, talent and creativity, so it’s crucial to us to ensure the ‘spirit of the Southside’ remains firmly at the heart of this project.
“It has always been important to us that we support local, independent businesses where possible, so we are looking to engage in sponsorship opportunities with community sports teams and to provide long-term contributions to local charities. We’re also excited to say that we will be a host venue for 2018’s Southside Fringe!”
The chefs behind The Raven and Smokin’ Fox have created a menu that includes interesting bar snacks like spice rubbed lamb shoulder or beer glazed whole roast cauliflower.
The team at The Spiritualist have collaborated with the Church on the Hill to inject a creative twist into the drinks menu includes classic cocktails and local craft beers.
There will be a children’s food menu and activity area.
