Bar Soba have announced a new menu for spring and summer. The dishes are available from today at their Mitchell Lane, Albion Street and Byres Road locations, as well as their restaurant in Edinburgh, Derby and Leeds. Established in Glasgow back in 1999, Bar Soba have a reputation for Southeast Asian dishes, cocktails and music, putting their own spin on street food, playlists and drinks.
The menu remixes traditional street food from all over Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.
The best-selling dish on their last menu release was the Super Thai loaded fries and they’ve added a new style to their popular selection of sides! Introducing the Dirty Katsu fries – a large portion of crispy fries, smothered with katsu curry sauce, sriracha & mango mayo then covered in crispy shredded buttermilk fried chicken, spring
onions & toasted sesame seeds.

Their weird but wonderful cheeseburger spring rolls were a big hit last year and they’ve added to their selection of small plates with new dishes like Bang Bang Belly Ribs, Indonesian-style Chicken Sate Lollipops (which have an interactive element at the table), Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Korean Popcorn Chicken.
The Korean popcorn chicken is glazed in a sweet, sticky and spicy glaze in bitesize pieces.

Fans of Tapas-style dining should head down on Thursday nights for their Bites & Bubbles promotion where they can pick up two small plates each and a glass of Prosecco for just £10 a head.
The Menu also aims to be inclusive to those with dietary needs with a wide variety of items available to suit a gluten-free or Vegan lifestyle – all clearly marked on the menu. The demand for a Vegan Katsu curry has been met with the launch of the new “Buttermilk” fried Cauliflower Katsu curry, served with jasmine rice and Japanese curry sauce.
Rounding off your meal with their Super Thai Sundae – a loaded Bubble Waffle stuffed with salted peanut caramel ice-cream, smothered in caramel and chocolate sauces and covered in crushed peanuts, toasted coconut and sesame marshmallow rice crispies. If one dessert isn’t enough for your table, try the Deep Fried Japanese Doughnut or the Sorbet incarnation of their Drumstick Caipirovska cocktail.

Classic dishes like Pad Thai, Singapore Street Noodles and Nasi Goreng are all still available. The new menu also sees the return of their popular ramen bowls.
