Ben Monteith, who recently performed a duet with Emeli Sande and boasts over half a million social media followers, has been announced as one of the buskers taking part in Tee in Oor Park, a free community event which takes place on Sunday 7 July at Fore Play Crazy Golf in Kinning Park.
The fun event will showcase the best local street buskers, similar to Emeli Sande’s forthcoming TV series, Street Symphony. As well as Ben Monteith, Tee in Oor Park will welcome performances from Ross McGuire, Jodie Knight and Robin Ashcroft. The event tees off at 12noon until 10pm.
Craig Neilson, co-owner of Fore Play Crazy Golf, said: “Ben is an incredible singer songwriter, so we’re delighted to have him on the ‘Tee in Oor Park’ line-up. This is the third instalment of the monthly event and it’s really starting to build; not just with our existing customers, but with people who love music and appreciate the quality of Glasgow’s buskers.”
Last month, the venue announced that it will support and feature only buskers on its Tee in Oor Park line-ups moving forward, giving them a permanent home and performance platform.
Fore Play Crazy Golf features a nine-hole, Glasgow-inspired crazy golf course, as well as games including giant Connect Four, Jenga and bowls, while the fully serviced bar offers an extensive range of premium cocktails, beers and spirits. Street Food stars, The Prague Shack, will also be on-site serving up delicious scran.
Tee in Oor Park entrance is FREE; drinks start from £3.80 and one round of crazy golf is just £7.00 per person. Find out more about the event here.
