Readers of Glasgowist are invited to join an exclusive evening of wine, food and conversation at One Devonshire Gardens.
The event will be by hosted by Head Sommelier Alan Brady with contributions from Head Chef Gary Townsend with Glasgow and the West Coast Cook Book writer Paul Trainer.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary drink in the lounge bar on arrival. We will then move to the main dining room for a summer wine introduction, with an opportunity to see recent redesign and renovation work to the restaurant and hotel.

Sommelier Alan Brady will introduce a selection of summer wines for the One Devonshire Gardens cellars. He will also answer some questions. Each guest can enjoy three glasses of wine from the range.
There will be canapes including: Cumbrae oyster; Scottish smoked salmon ;Yorkshire pudding, roast beef and horseradish mousse; cornfed chicken, honey and mustard; seared Orkney scallops.
After completing your summer wine, each guest will recieve a loyalty card, entitling them to up to 20% off at One Devonshire Gardens and other Hotel du Vin properties.

One Devonshire Gardens recently completed a transformational refurbishment, cementing its status as one of Glasgow’s most prestigious hotels. The revamp included the hotel’s 49 rooms, including its six luxurious suites and the results are impressive. Inspired by the flora and fauna of the nearby Botanic Gardens, as well as operator Hotel du Vin’s long-standing association with excellent wines and Champagnes, the guest rooms boast fresh colour schemes, accented by rich, seasonal colour features to add brightness and vibrancy.
With the hotel’s heritage in mind, the original fireplaces, original ornate cornices and mouldings, along with the magnificent windows, have all been preserved and worked into the overall design. The beautiful style is elevated by sculptural lighting and curated mid-century and re-invented antique furniture, which come together to create an eclectic, original style.
Following the refurbishment, the hotel now boasts two Luxury Townhouse Suites – Krug and Toques & Clochers. The Krug Suite has been completely reconfigured and now features a dining area (which can also serve as a meeting room) and a luxury bathroom which comprises a free standing roll top bath and large shower. Toques & Clochers has been elevated to a sumptuous Luxury Townhouse Suite, and now has the potential to be either a one or two bedroom suite.
One Devonshire Gardens by Hotel du Vin is made up of five grand 19th century Grade B listed houses connected on the ground floor and first floor.
