East End favourite Celino’s are heading west, with plans to open the doors to their new Partick restaurant in August. Their deli, cafe and trattoria on Alexandra Parade has been part of the community since 1982, starting off service each day with fried breakfasts then offering paninis, pizza slices or a sit-down pasta menu.
They make creative things with salumi, Povolone cheese, homemade pate, olives roasted aubergines and peppers. Then there’s the imported balsamic vinegars, olive oils, Italian breads, wines and liqueurs.
Now this winning formula is coming to Dumbarton Road where you will soon be able to enjoy fresh calamari and langoustine in your spaghetti allo scoglio.
Work started late last year and was originally scheduled to be completed in the Spring of this year.
The latest update is that next month will see the first production of fresh pasta in the new Partick dining destination.
Look for updates here.
