Chris Brookmyre dashed around the Glasgow Subway and hosted readings of his latest book, Want You Gone at Hillhead Underground yesterday to officially launch the return of the 2017 Byres Road Book Festival.
Now in its second year, The Byres Road Book Festival will takeover the September weekend in Glasgow, running from Friday, 22nd to Monday, 25th September across venues in the West End. After a successful inaugural year with over 1000 visitors and 22 authors including Graham Macrae Burnet and Lin Anderson over the four-day programme, organisers are looking to attract more visitors to the area and continue to offer events for the public to enjoy.

“I am hugely looking forward to returning to Byres Road in September. Last year’s event was lively and raucous and I have no doubt the unique West End audience will make this year’s memorable too.”
