Burgers Dogs & Beers are today introducing their newest creation, Burger McBurgerface, as an eating challenge that can be attempted from Friday at their John Street venue. They are looking for a modern-day Rab Ha’ to step forward and take on the task of devouring the creation, with a side of onion rings and a bucket of fries in under 20 mins.
Those victorious will receive the meal completely free, with a pint of Harviestoun Brewery Craft beer, on the house, to celebrate.
Those failing to complete the feat will be handed a ‘doggy bag’ of their leftovers and a bill for £25. The challenge must be completed without any breaks but can be aided by the exclusive Flavour Box, which features over 20 condiments from around the world and allows the customer to create their own burger flavour combinations. Customers must pre-book the challenge by phoning the venue.
The mammoth burger is the creation of the Burger Dogs & Beers team, who want to bring an eating challenge to Glasgow that would not only stump even the heartiest diner but would also showcase the quality ingredients and skill that go into every dish at the restaurant.
The creation was given the name Burger McBurgerface after the venue decided to leave the naming of the dish to the public via a facebook poll, but decided at the last minute that they already had a pretty good idea of what would be the likely winner. And so Burger McBurgerface was born.
New kid in town, Burgers Dogs & Beers has proved to be a welcome addition to the world famous Merchant City restaurant scene, after a surprise opening at the start of November.
They told Glasgowist: “Our burgers and dogs stand out from the competition because of the huge taste and the fresh quality ingredients, which can be paired with the exclusive Flavour Box. The venue brings together great food, local craft brewed beers, fun arcade games and a pool table. We want to create an oasis of cool, convenient, feel-good food and drinks with fun games in a relaxed setting, right in the heart of the Merchant City.”
Burgers Dogs & Beers, on John Street, is part of the Italian Centre and is open till 1am on Friday and Saturday with food served 11:30am – 10pm seven days a week.
