Döner Haus has only been open for a couple of months but already feels like the kind of place you can’t imagine Glasgow doing without. Thankfully, the hunt is now over. Berlin-themed Döner Haus serves its kebabs in either a dürüm wrap or a Turkish pida, encasing guilt-free döner meat.
Yes, guilt-free. Their blend of beef and turkey doesn’t skimp on taste but still creates a far leaner experience than that greasy kebab that fills you with delight on a Saturday night and shame on Sunday morning.
As well as the dish the restaurant is named after, it also serves currywurst and all manner of other German sausage delights.
How about the beer though? Well, Bitburger and Spaten are on tap so you won’t miss on the flavour of Berlin there either.
A little sidenote too. Berlin itself is surprisingly behind the curve when it comes to catering for gluten free foodies, but Döner Haus not only offers a gluten free menu but also stocks bottle GF beer, so nobody need miss out.
