After three years, Soma Records have announced the in-person return of its annual electronic music education event, Soma Skool, this September 3rd. Industry heavy-weights from all spectrums of the scene – from DJs and producers to label heads and journalists – will gather in Glasgow’s SWG3 for Scotland’s biggest before an afterparty in the form of Slam DJs’ club night: Pressure.
This year’s panels include Underground Glasgow, discussing the beauty – as well as the challenges – of Glasgow’s own underground scene; an Accessible Clubbing panel on how we can make clubbing more accessible to people with disabilities and an Artists Panel which will invite some of the worlds biggest techno artists to discuss what catalysed their own success.
Across the expanse of one of Glasgow’s most loved club spaces, there will be classes on offer, such as the Subsine Ableton Masterclasses; a range of demos from Pioneer DJ showcasing some of the best in mixing and technology; and industry talks spanning across mastering, artist agent seminars and music journalism workshops hosted by Resident Advisor.
