A highly anticipated new bar and kitchen space will soon open in the Partick. A talented group of four will be opening this brand new space, family members include Marc Ferrier, owner of The Thornwood, Ken Hamilton, the other half of The Thornwood, Fraser Hamilton, formerly of Sweet Liberty on Miami Beach and Julie Lin, owner of Julie’s Kopitiam.
The team will be renovating the historic space on Dumbarton Road into a venue to relax, hang out and enjoy delicious cocktails and food.
Glaswegians will get the chance to try an innovative South East Asian menu drawn up by Julie Lin which draws on her in-depth knowledge of Asian cooking from her Malaysian mother.
The menu will change frequently and will include dishes like breakfast nasi goreng, pork and wild garlic dumplings, mamak fried chicken buns and much more. The bar will have an intriguing selection of drinks with aperitivos on tap and a range of mixed drinks with quality spirits and liqueurs, cold pressed juices, herb oils, tinctures and extracts prepared on site. Fun and flavourful is the name of the game.
The team are determined to make this space a fun, welcoming and relaxed for people to enjoy either to dine and/or to enjoy drinks at the bar. They will collaborate with as many local businesses as possible on their design features, ingredients and drinks.
It opens at 566 Dumbarton Road, G11 6RH this autumn.
