Pedal fever has been sweeping Glasgow’s West End this month with the inaugural Glasgow and Clyde Cycle Challenge and proposals for the first every cycle village meaning more people than ever are taking to two wheels to get around the city. Local entrepreneur, James Hearn has opened Glasgow Bike Hive – a haven for repairs, maintenance and secure storage in Hyndland
Glasgow Bike Hive offers a range of services, including monthly membership that gives you unlimited access to workshop space, tools and expert advice. The team also offer training workshops so that you can learn to fix your bike yourself.
James told Glasgowist: “I’ve been working with bicycles for the past 16 years alongside some of the biggest brands in the industry but we offer something different. Something that Glasgow has never had all in one place: expert mechanical services, fit-for-purpose bike wash facilities, DIY tool use, secure bike storage, and maintenance classes. I wanted to create a hub for the cycling community in the West End and that’s what Glasgow Bike Hive is all about.”
