This is a great way to get into festive spirit and make a head-start on Christmas shopping.”

The Christmas Market this year at George Square invovles over 50 traders from across the globe, as well as those from much closer to home, selling artisan products and high quality crafts. Take a slide down the vintage Helter Skelter, people-watch from the vintage carousel or meet Santa at the advent calendar each day when he hands out treats to the children. After all your browsing take a well-earned rest at one of the authentic German market bars, serving traditional beers and Glühwein.

Allan Hartwell, Managing Director of Market Place, operators of the Glasgow Christmas market said: “We are delighted to be back in Glasgow offering visitors to the festive market a taste of a global Christmas. This year we have worked hard to make the market bigger and better and as inclusive as possible, in addition to all of the favourite offerings we will be hosting tours for people with accessibility issue, we will be hosting an autism friendly day on the 4 th December and we have created a quiet room for people who may require it during their visit. Glasgow is a great city to visit and a real favourite for our traders. We are thrilled that once again the sights and sounds of the Glasgow Christmas Market will be a focal point for the city centre during the festive season and we encourage people to come and enjoy all the market and the city have to offer.”

The market in George Square will be open until 6pm on December 31. For more information on the carnival and its route and the Christmas Markets, visit the Glasgow Loves Christmas website.
