World Gin Day is officially this Saturday, 10th June, but some Glasgow have pubs have decided a day’s just not enough to celebrate the city’s love of gin and are organising a full week cocktail-based fun.
Sloans, Brel, The Griffin, Maggie Mays, Blackfriars and Munro’s have launched a new Gin Fling menu with 21 premium Scottish gins available, including favourites The Botanist, Rock Rose, Arbikie and Edinburgh Gin and some more hard-to-find gins like Orkney Johnsmas and McQueen Dry.
For World Gin Week you’ll be able to enjoy giant goblets of any Scottish gin from the Gin Fling menu for £7.50 in any of these bars – that’ s a double measure of your gin of choice, served with a bottle of Fever-Tree Tonic, plenty of ice and a garnish.
Then on Saturday 10th, Sloans is hosting a tasting event from 1pm – 3pm up in their beautiful ballroom, in partnership with the gin experts from the Scottish Gin Society – featuring Eden Mill Love, Glasgow’s Makar Gin and Isle of Harris Gin.
Tickets are £9, which includes three gin and tonics, canapes and a talk from some gin experts.
