Singer-songwriter Ben Ottewell is taking his guitar to the West End next month with a gig on 15th October at The Record Factory on Byres Road. As frontman of Gomez, Ottewell added his distinctive voice to some outstanding tracks as the band found international success in the late 1990s. Gomez lingered around the peripheries of the charts in recent years, popping up for sets at festivals and enjoying low-key tours for their enduring fan-base.
Since his first solo release, Shapes & Shadows in 2011, Ottewell has been embarking on a series of successful acoustic tours across the UK, US and Australia.
Now with more songs for his second solo project, Rattlebag, the singer has a broad set of his own music to play, along with a few Gomez favourites.
