Honeyblood’s third album, In Plain Sight, sees Stina Tweeddale finding her most ambitious form and steely focus yet. Singer-songwriter Stina Tweeddale is now the sole member of the former two-piece band.
Stina takes the reigns in collaboration with producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St Vincent) for a record that could consolidate the Glasgow-born band as one of the most important UK names. Lead single The Third Degree is out today.
Woven with mysterious themes of illusion and deception, Tweeddale describes the album as “one big trick”.
Following work with Young Fathers, Edinburgh-based director Rianne White collaborated with Stina to bring the vision of The Third Degree to life – the video charts an encounter with an ex in Glasgow and is peppered with vignettes inspired by the album’s theme of optical illusions.
