Liam Gallagher will launch his solo career with a series of gigs, including a return to the stage of the Barrowlands Ballroom. The concert is scheduled for Sunday 11th June. Gallagher was in Abbey Road studios this week working on his debut album As You Were, which will be released in October.
A flurry of festival appearances this summer will introduce the post-Oasis, post-Beady Eye iteration of Liam Gallagher. He’s assembled a band of musicians for live dates, but will be taking centre stage as a solo artist for the first time.
A master of the media one-liners, Liam has been drip-feeding information about the new record and his live set in a series of interviews, accompanied by sporadic bursts of activity on Twitter.
For Oasis fans, the set at the Barrowlands is expected to feature songs including Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, Slide Away, D’You Know What I Mean?, Roll With It and Rockin’ Chair.
