The lights are on in George Square and Glasgow is starting to get into the festive groove. Former Velveteen Saints bassist and multi-instrumentalist, Mark W. Georgsson is here to add to the soundtrack. Last November, after returning from playing the Iceland Airwaves festival, he invited his friend John McArthur, lead guitarist of The Bar Dogs, over to his flat. An idea was formulated over a few drinks. They were going to write a bittersweet Christmas song.

After writing the basis of the tune, they booked up a flight to go over to Iceland and record it with another friend, Arnar Guðjónsson, producing the track in his studio in Reykjavik.

The single, Dance (Around the Fake Fir Tree), will be released on 1st December on indie Scottish label Last Night From Glasgow. The artwork photography was taken by Icelandic photographer Gunnar Freyr Gunnarsson.
