Bathgate’s latest rising star Luke La Volpe put his latest King Tut’s headline show on sale at precisely 10am on Friday, while he was on the train back from his first songwriting trip to London.
By the time he was home and watching the start of fellow West Lothian hero Lewis Capaldi’s record-breaking show at Glasgow Hydro, the gig was sold out.
Luke chronicled the journey – and the progress of ticket sales – on his Instagram story as it dawned on him that the show was selling unexpectedly quickly and tried to convince his friends they really did need to get on with it if they wanted to go to the gig.
