Don’t Give In is the latest single from singer/songwriter Joesef. After only two releases, Joesef received a first play from Annie Mac on his recent single Loverboy, and went on to garner support across Radio 1, 6 Music, 1Xtra and Beats 1 as well as being named Apple Music’s Artist of The Week on release.
Joesef’s writes, records and produces all his music in his bedroom at home in the Dennistoun, melding Motown soul, hip hop beats and jazz guitar. With this new single, his distinctive vocal deftly depicts his narrative of love lost.
“I fell for somebody who was still seeing their ex and me at the same time, I sort of caught on to it while it was happening, it was pretty shit. ‘Don’t Give In’ is about slowly losing a battle I was never really meant to win in the end anyway” he says.
Joesef’s debut track Limbo was released earlier this year, just before he played a sold out debut show at King Tut’s.
Next week, he heads back to Tut’s for a further two sold out gigs as part of their Summer Nights series before making the trip down south to play his debut London show at Omeara on September 20th. Tickets on sale now.
