Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to kick off their next tour in Glasgow. After a soaring gig at The SSE Hydro early in the year, they return to familiar territory Clydeside on 21 April, 2016.
Gallagher has enjoyed significant sales for his two post-Oasis albums and NGHFB’s singles have become a familiar staple on commercial radio. When embarking on his own musical project after leaving one of the biggest bands in the world he spoke about his fear that he would be leaving festivals and arenas behind.
With the support of a talented band and the occasional saxophone he has built a worldwide demand for his live shows. While a more stationary, subtle frontman than his bombastic brother, tunes like Ballad of The Mighty I and The Death of You and Me has elevated the band back to familiar big arena territory.
Gallagher has a special relationship with the Glasgow audience and this will be one of the most in demand tickets of the year.
The gig will be loud, the audience will be raucous.
