Baffo will join forces with DJ Il Piacentino and Mangrove Spirits to serve up a slice of Italo Disco to go alongside your half metre pizza and £5 cocktails on the 25th October from 8pm – late
ITALO 82 is a tribute to the Italian underground dance scene of the last 40 years and brings together three things loved about Italy: pizza, great quality drinks and music.

Il Piacentino is a regular face around Glasgow DJ booths, he has had residencies at Dance!Dance!Dance!, Deaf Monkey and Disco Not Disco parties, regular invites to play at Melting Pot as well as sharing the bill Todd Terje, Greg Wilson, Phil Mison, Balearic Mike, The Revenge, and Mark E.
ITALO 82 starts its musical homage in the 1970s referencing DJ style of Beppe Loda and Daniele Baldelli, innovative Italian DJs widely recognised as being up there with the disco pioneers of the New York underground scene.
Renowned for playing long sets straddling disco, Italo, wonky electro pop, post punk and everything in between, ITALO 82 pays homage to their pioneering DJ style and the sounds they championed from a forgotten era.
Fast forward to the 90s, when the Italian underground scene gifted the world with some of the greatest deep house records ever made, Don Carlos – Alone remaining, for many, the deep house blueprint as part of the Italian ‘dream house’ scene from the early 90s.
There will be 5 cocktails at £5, created by Mangrove, to complement your pizza at Baffo.

Francesco Longo, owner of Baffo Pizza e Birra said:
“We had a really successful techno night with Clydebuilt music earlier in the year and we are keen to do more music events. We use all Italian ingredients and produce so it felt right to make our next night Italian with an Italian DJ playing Italo tunes alongside some great Italian cocktails that we have been working with Adam from Mangrove drinks to produce”
You can also expect to see half metres of pizza, a wide selection of Italian craft beer and prosecco on tap.

Baffo Pizza e Birra is on Argyle Street, right across the road from Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
