Paolo Nutini has announced he will play a one-off show in the UK this year in Newport, South Wales on Wednesday 20th July 2016. The gig will be a charity show in memory of Bevlee Jones with all proceeds going to Bevlee’s 13-year-old son Ieuan Joel.
On 8th March, 34-year-old mum Bevlee Jones passed away unexpectedly in the night, devastating family and friends. Her distraught 13-year-old son Ieuan Joel Jones took it upon himself to give his mum the best funeral possible.
Bevelee was a huge Paolo Nutini fan, so Ieuan appealed to Paolo through Facebook, asking Paolo to play at his Mum’s funeral. Unfortunately, Paolo was away in Europe at the time but Paolo wanted to offer his support to Ieuan and his family. Paolo commented:
“When I heard of Ieuan’s plea, it was with regret that I couldn’t attend his mother’s funeral and do what he asked of me. I wanted to help him in any way that I could and I feel like a concert in aid of Ieuan himself and in memory of his dear mother was the right way to do so. Please come along on July 20th and join us in giving some love and support to the Jones family at this hard time”
Tickets go on sale this Friday (27th May) at 9am. They will be limited to 2 per person and will be priced at £40 per ticket (plus booking fee).
