After its first event over the summer, Playground Festival has announced it will be returning to Glasgow’s Rouken Glen Park on Friday 31stJuly – Sunday 2ndAugust 2020.
The inaugural Playground Festival attracted more than 14,000, who enjoyed performances from international acts including Groove Armada, Hot Chip, Django Django and Anna Calvi.
A festival spokesperson said, “We are so looking forward to bringing Playground Festival back to Rouken Glen Park, and working with East Renfrewshire council to deliver a festival fit for the phenomenal surroundings of one of the UK’s best parks.”
They added, “Like every major UK festival, we have big ambitions to deliver a world-class line-up of music next summer and cannot wait to announce our first headliner.”
In addition to a Food Forrest, Playground Festival 2020 also promises to be a family-friendly affair thanks to Mini Manoeuvres who will be on-site all weekend providing face-painting, soft play, dancing and games for the little ones. The festival will also feature aerial acrobatic performers, a craft beer area and a dedicated gin garden.
