Photos have appered in Korean press showing the President of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, buying in rounds of Scotland’s No. 1 beer, Tennent’s Lager in the pub round the corner from his Seoul presidential residence: The trendy SsangSsang beer pub in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
Alan McGarrie, Group Brand Director at Tennent’s said: “Tennent’s Lager is enjoyed by loyal punters in all corners of the world, but to see that South Korea’s president keeps his local stocked up with Scotland’s favourite beer shows that he’s a real fan.
“We’re already looking forward to President Moon Jae-in’s next visit to the UK so we can invite him on a tour of our famous Wellpark home where Tennent’s has been brewing continuously on the same site since 1556.”
This is the second notable time that Tennent’s Lager has had a presidential seal of approval, with Barack Obama giving the beer a public shout-out during a charity dinner in Scotland in 2016.
