Radisson RED Glasgow will re-open its doors on 15th July. Ahead of its return, the hotel is live streaming a virtual music festival, RED Fest via Facebook. You can tune in for performances on the Glasgowist page tonight.
Headlined by local boys The Fratellis, RED Fest will be streamed live from the hotel’s Sky Bar, with social distancing in place. The event will raise funds for The BEN, the Licensed Trade and Hospitality charity for Scotland that supports people of all ages who have worked in the licensed trade.

It will be the final in a series of fundraising live stream music events the hotel has hosted during the COVID-19 pandemic, so far raising almost £10,000 for local charities including the Scottish Association for Mental Health, Hospitality Health, Glasgow Children’s Charity and The BEN. Past live streams have featured esteemed DJs, including BBC Radio 1’s Arielle Free and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh, and have attracted more than 200,000 viewers.
In preparation for re-opening and to ensure the health, safety and security of its guests, team members and business partners, the hotel has implemented Radisson Hotel Group’s ‘Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol’ – a new programme of in-depth cleanliness and disinfection procedures. “Our goal is to offer the best possible hotel stays for our guests and we have further strengthened our existing rigorous sanitation, cleanliness and disinfection guidelines to ensure all visitors have clean and safe stays with us.
