Rugby raises the steaks at Finsbay Flatiron

17th February 2018 by Paul Trainer

What was West on the Corner on Woodlands Road is now Finsbay Flatiron. At least for the next couple of months. The steak restaurant opened at the start of February, in time of the return of Six Nations rugby. At the moment, consider it a pop-up but if the concept proves popular it could become a permanent fixture.

Visit for 8oz flat iron steaks at £8 during the week and £10 on the weekends. There’s tasty sides like mac n cheese or triple-fried chips. Check the impressive Sunday roast menu.

Added to the mix, Finsbay Flatiron will be showing Six Nation matches on a big screen. Two of the team behind the venture are Alastair Kellock, who played for Scotland and Glasgow Warriors, and Stuart Hogg, who has more than 50 caps for the national team.

As the name suggests, the restaurant is being operated by the team behind Finsbay, the cafe, bar and restaurant in Milngavie.
