Thirteen seats. One server. “Come sit close to someone you don’t know” they say. Nanika Noodle and Bun Bar is a tiny place that packs a big flavourful punch. Food comes courtesy of chef Justin Valmossoi. He ran Something in Clarkston. Then he made a big impression on the city’s brunch scene with Something 2 at The Glad Cafe. Earlier this month he launched Nanika, which is already proving to be a hit on Victoria Road.
Go for spicy noodle soups, Saigon salad, fried tofu, prawn tempura, chicken katsu, salmon ponzu bowls or house kimchi. Dishes are colourful and creative.
Bring your own bottle with a £2.50 corkage charge per person. Or just drink their oolong tea.
Small but perfectly formed, and already very cool, Nanika is worthy of your immediate attention.
Open 5pm-10pm Wednesday-Sunday at 72 Victoria Road.
