The West End Festival’s month-long programme of events is underway. With over 100 organisations participating, 350 events in 75 venues across the length and breadth of the West End, there will be events ranging from gigs and ceilidhs to exhibitions and school literary workshops.
Tomorrow, 3rd June, brings the Sunday Lane Party. There will be on-stage entertainment at Ashton Lane and Vinicombe Street from 12pm – 8pm and it’s free.
The bars and restaurants in Ashton Lane and Vinicombe Street have teamed up again to put on the third annual Festival Sunday Lane Party with Auchentoshan and Innis & Gunn.
Expect brilliant free family entertainment including face painting, glitter tattoo artists, balloon artists, carnival bands and samba dancers, thanks to support from Visit Westend
Bands will be keeping the party alive on stage in Ashton Lane including Brass Aye, MacUmba, Brass Gumbo, dhol drummers, David Duffy & The Makeshifts, The Blake Snake Roots, the Borrowed Blues and The Raybandos
Look out for pop up bars and BBQs from West End favourites including Jinty McGuinty’s, brel, Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen, The Gardiner, Ubiquitous Chip, Vodka Wodka and Hillhead Book Club.
