SWG3 have announced they will operate an outdoor venue with plans including music, graffiti art, street food and drinks over a 25,000 sq ft area at the Clydeside complex. Customers will be able to pre-book tables in advance and place orders using an app.
Introducing the new project, they said: “Whilst our usually vibrant site has been laying low, we have been busy planning how and when SWG3 can return to serve you.
“The Scottish Government have indicated that outdoor bars and restaurants will be able to trade in Phase 2 and we are prepped and ready to do so.
“At this stage we can confirm that we plan to fully utilise our 25,000 sq ft outdoor Galvanizers Yard. The space will be transformed into an outdoor food and drink venue, with music and a backdrop of evolving graffiti walls.
“Customers will be able to pre-book tables in advance and will order table service via our bespoke SWG3 App.
“The new outdoor venue will be open every Thursday – Sunday from 12 noon – 10pm.”
More details will be announced next week as the venue finalises social distancing measures.
The Galvanizers Yard space at SWG3 has previously hosted the Yardworks street art festival, outdoor concerts and street food markets.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is expected to introduce the start of Phase 2 tomorrow, which is expected to include permission for bars, restaurants, cafes and food markets to resume trading outside.
SWG3 is at 100 Eastvale Place, Stobcross Road, Glasgow G3 8QG.
