Now that the date has been fixed for outside hospitality to resume in Scotland, Glasgow will soon see the return of beer gardens and arrival of new al fresco dining options. Today bookings when live for Cranside Kitchen, a new free-to-enter outdoor venue, open seven days a week with a food market and beer garden beside Finnieston Crane and the Rotunda.
Five Glasgow’s restaurants will feature – Rioja, Halloumi, Pickled Ginger, Kilmurry & Co and La Rotunda, alongside a single drinks and desserts menu. The structure for the market is currently being built and is excpected to be completed next week.
Dishes on the menu include: “Greek Pork Gyros, Stone Baked Parma Pizza, Sushi Platters and Spanish Grilled Octopus. A mouthwatering cocktail and drinks menu will feature classics including a Negroni, Margarita and Mojito as well as wine, beer and spirits”.
Some more details at they prepare to launch: The venue will have capacity for over 200 guests. They open on Monday 6th July at 10am.
Cranside Kitchen will be a family friendly and dog friendly venue. Toilet facilities are located inside the Rotunda building. These will be managed, maintained and cleaned in-line with Government guidelines.
There is a free car park on site. Hygiene measures are being prepared to make the venue safe for all customers and staff. A website will launch on Monday 29th June but customers can join a mailing list at cransidekitchen.co.uk.
Restaurateur Toni Carbajosa said: “The good news is that we can open our new outdoor beer garden. We’ve been anticipating this for some weeks and Cranside Kitchen will be opening outdoors and wholeheartedly welcoming customers to our new venue in Finnieston.
