Thai pumpkin and coconut soup. Crab and sea scallop risotto with carnaroli rice, white crab meat, crab bisque, samphire and pan seared scallops (pictured above). Tender, lightly marbled Black Angus, grain fed fillet steak. Classic vanilla crème brûlée. Just some of the dishes showcased at an event to introduce the winter menu at Chez Mal.
At the heart of Malmaison’s boutique hotel, housed in a striking-looking former Greek Orthodox Church on West George Street, the Chez Mal brasserie serves a bold and colourful mix of contemporary food using fresh local produce.
Dishes vary throughout the year on the A La Carte, alongside a seasonal Prix Fixe featuring modern French, Asian and Mal Classics such as the Mal Burger, fishcakes and different styles of steaks from the Grille.
