Innis & Gunn has answered the prayers of beer drinkers across Glasgow with a cold beer in 24 hours delivery service, the first of its kind by a Scottish brewery. Place an order by 3pm on the Innis & Gunn website and receive chilled cases of beer to your door, contact free, the next day.
To launch the service, the brand is running a lucky dip competition and will refund five orders placed between 10 am on Thursday 14th May and 3pm on Friday 15th May at random, with no limit on the amount of beer in the order.
The new service has been made possible through a collaboration with Thermo Logistics, a company Innis & Gunn use for keg deliveries to pubs. With their refrigerated vans and drivers off the road due to the COVID-19 crisis, part of their fleet has been recruited by the brewer to make deliveries to households.
Additionally, customers will be emailed a two hour delivery window thanks to the involvement of Edinburgh based software company PODFather.
Neil Innis Sharp, Head of Brand Experience at Innis & Gunn, said “There is nothing like cracking open a cold and refreshing can of beer, and while we can’t go out to pubs for a pint, we wanted to make sure folk at home were well covered at short notice.
“We’re really proud of this new and original quick and cold service which is just one of the ways we’re adapting to the ongoing crisis. It will be launched in Edinburgh and Glasgow and then expanded to other areas. It has been great to work with Thermo Logistics on it and really pleasing to get some of their drivers back on the road.”
