Talk of the Town: Join us in celebrating local food and drink this Saturday

Glasgowist has always been about celebrating the best people and places in the city. This Saturday we are putting the focus on local food and drink during lockdown as we turn our Facebook page over to restaurants bars and cafes.

Join us as we share recipes, live streams, videos, cocktail recommendations and a Best of Glasgow guide to meal collection and delivery services available right now.

Look out for new articles and update on the website and social media.

Something for the Weekend

The Glasgowist Facebook page has reached 3.4 million people in the last four weeks as we have highlighted local stories during the coronavirus crisis.

On Saturday 25th April, we will share local food stories for our online community here and abroad while bringing together familiar faces from hospitality.

You can join in by emailing your own favourite recipes or pictures of your home baking creations to [email protected]

Guests on Saturday will include Seamas from Cafe Candolfi, Mhairi from Cafezique, Peter from The Gannet, John from The Red Onion, Will from Sugar Boat alongside contributions from Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery, Battlefield Rest, Ubiquitous Chip, The Dhabba, The Gate, Bottle Drop and A’Challtainn.

If you are a local food business and you want to get involved, contact us today.

Look out for updates all day Saturday at Facebook.com/Glasgowist.
