Talk of the Town: New brew celebrates Wee Beer Shop reopening

Wee Beer Shop, in Glasgow’s Southside, is back as shops around the city find ways of re-opening their doors. To celebrate, the shop has collaborated with award-winning Donzoko Brewing and other independent specialist beer shops around the country to release a brew called Indie Graft to celebrate the hard work that shops and independent breweries are doing to revive their businesses.

The beer is a Pale Ale with refreshing white grape and gooseberry notes, perfect for warm summer days. Its only available from the select group of leading beer shops and Wee Beer Shop is the only place in Glasgow you can buy it.

Indie Graft will be launched on Saturday 18th July with a special online tasting session hosted by Donzoko’s Reece Hugill.

Owner Niall Kennedy said “We closed the shop in mid March because of the global health pandemic. It was a tough time for the business – it was heartbreaking to pull the shutter down and not know when or if we would open up again. However we managed to re-open a few weeks ago offering a safe and distanced click & collect service and we’ve been delighted to welcome back old friends and lots of new faces too. We’re in no doubt that its going to be tough times for the rest of the year though.”
