Symphonix Rock Orchestra make their live debut on 26 August at the Barrowland Ballroom. The thirty-strong orchestra of world class musicians will swap traditional classical music for a sensational symposium of the world’s most loved rock songs..
Born from the imagination of founder and Musical Director, Neil Thompson, Symphonix combines his love for rock and orchestral sounds in the ultimate celebration of live music. It’s the latest offering from the director, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performer whose Musichoir contemporary show choir has performed in every major venue across Scotland, from the Hydro in Glasgow to the Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
From playing across the world in Dubai, Thailand and Europe with folk-rock band Bahookie to making his Orchestra Director debut at the Barrowlands with Symphonix, Neil’s passion for live music is unbound.

Unearthing the raw power of rock with thirty musicians on stage, Symphonix will showcase one of the greatest rock catalogues of all time.
An orchestra, complete with strings, brass, vocalists, rock band and choreographed choir will breathe new life into a range of hits from the likes of Metallica, AC/DC, Coldplay, Toto, Prince, Nirvana, Muse and more. The most electrifying rock anthems of all time will be honoured in one unforgettable evening.
With violinists head-banging to Led Zeppelin and a phenomenal brass section rocking out to Rage Against The Machine, this will be the ultimate celebration of live music.
