The team behind Van Winkle at the Gallowgate are currently recruiting for a new version of their bourbon and barbeque bar food venue. They will open on Byres Road later in the summer.
Van Winkle has become a popular venue across from the Barrowland Ballroom. They opened in the East End with a pizza, bbq ribs and burgers menu and the city’s largest collection of bourbon.
Since then, the team behind the bar have gone on to open Mharsanta on Bell Street in the Merchant City.
For their next trick, they will be serving up more whiskey with Van Winkle West on Byres Road. We’ll have the full details next month.
